OAI has experience with the wide variety of award agreements that are available. |
- Among these are:
- Grants (used when the purpose is to stimulate or support gaining knowledge or understanding for the benefit of the public)
- Training Grants (used when the purpose of the grant is education or training)
- Cooperative Agreements (similar to grants except that substantial involvement and technical collaboration by the customer is anticipated)
- Interagency Personnel Agreements that allow an OAI employee to accept a temporary work assignment with a federal agency (or vice versa) to gain important insights, experience, and to share unique expertise
- Partnership Intermediary Agreements (a type of agreement that establishes a relationship between federal laboratories and industry to accomplish mutually beneficial work or technology transfer and may involve cost sharing)
- Space Act Agreement (this agreement may be either reimbursable or non-reimbursable and allows OAI to use NASA facilities and services under prearranged terms and conditions)
- Technology Investment Agreements (this is a type of Other Transaction with characteristics similar to Cooperative Agreements and may require cost sharing)
- Cost-Reimbursement Contracts (used when the purpose is to provide payment for allowable incurred costs, to the extent prescribed in the contract)
- GSA contracts (OAI has two GSA contracts that permit OAI to sell Information Technology Services and Professional Engineering Services to federal government customers)
- Fixed-Price Contracts (this contract is used when the purpose is to acquire commercial items)
- Indefinite Delivery Contracts (used to acquire supplies or services when exact times and/or exact quantities of future deliveries are not known at the time of contract award)
