OAI President Mike Heil attended the ceremony on June 17th where Gov. John Kasich signed House Bill 292 into law. The new law creates a committee that will bring the State’s aerospace and aviation community together to develop a coordinated strategy to improve the industry’s economic opportunities, as well as elevating Ohio’s aviation and aerospace status in the country and world.
The aerospace industry is built upon innovation and collaboration. Succeeding where others had failed, two innovative brothers from Dayton, Ohio, collaborated to achieve the world's first controlled, powered flight of a heavier-than-air machine 110 years ago. The Wright Brothers' accomplishment led to the growth of the modern aerospace industry.
OAI’s Mission Our mission is to enhance our partners’ aerospace competitiveness through research and technology development, workforce preparedness, and engagement with global networks for innovation and advocacy.
