OAI’s Dr. Baochau Nguyen wins 2015 R&D100 Award for polyimide aerogel based antennas
Polyimide aerogel based antennas were named a winner at the R&D 100 Awards banquet held November 13, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The polyimide aerogel based antennas, recognized as one of the 100 most significant new technologies of 2015, are much lighter than conventional antennas, making them of interest for aircraft and space vehicles. The technology was developed by Dr. Mary Ann Meador and OAI’s Dr. Baochau Nguyen of NASA Glenn’s Chemistry and Physics of Materials Branch.
